Kailani: Pffft! That's great *she grins*

Edward nods.
"The excitement of a newbie learning their powers is pretty great."

Kailani: If the cities weren't so screwed up she'd have learned years ago *her expression is still happy but slightly solemn*

Edward shrugs.
"At least she'll be happy in Tortuga."

Kailani: *nods* I used to want to change things *she closes her eyes* Now I just want to get away from them...

Edward nods.
"Smart move."

Kailani: I could you know... Live on the sea, alone. I don't even need a ship *her eyes stay fixed in front of her*

Edward looks back to her.
"I would imagine that would get pretty lonely. Being by yourself like that...."
Edward frowns slightly.

Kailani: *smiles smugly* What'dya think's held me back?

Edward shrugs.
"I dunno... Somebody in your life or something.
Edward looks down slightly.

Kailani: *snorts* Aw goodness no! *laughs* I just-like people's all!

Edward moves back up.
"(Huh... Who would have thought.)"

Kailani: *still leaning against the railing, the wind ruffles her hair as the sun hits the horizon*

Edward looks to Kailani, smiling slightly before looking back to the setting sun.
"(So close to the end.... I need to make this go faster... But how?)"
Edward looks around the ship for a moment.
"So what would you do if you left to the ocean..."

Kailani: *grins and closes her eyes* Bask in the sun all day, travel everywhere in the world, search for treasure and mystery! Live!

Edward closes his eyes and looks up to the sky, grinning.
"Sounds fun..."

Kailani: Sounds like a dream! *she opens her eyes*

"If I could control zombies to a larger and more fine scale, that is exactly what I would do."
Edward pushes off of the side, opening his eyes.
"Until then, I'm just creating cannon fodder."

Kailani: You have real skill. M'sure you'll get 'ere soon enough

Edward: "Thanks!"
Edward waits for a bit before speaking again.
"So uh.... Know anyone in Tortuga?"

Kailani: *nods slightly* A few friends...

Edward: "Any family there?"

Kailani: *almost snorts* Aw hell no... And that's the way I like it...

Edward nods.
".... Hm.... No boyfriend right?"
Edward shakes his head.
"How's a fetching girl like yourself so alone?"

Kailani: *raises an eyebrow and smirks lightly at the term* I s'pose it's hard to find people you c'n trust
