Gifts and Curses

Kailani: *nods* Good..... *she keeps her face to the sea* So... Do you remember anything from last night?

Edward mulls over the question.
"Uh..... A bit of it."

Kailani: Last thin' I recall is talkin' about my lack of propriety and getting another drink.... *she nods to the side* But I woke up'n my own room, s' that's an achievement... I don't u'sally get that wasted

Edward nods.
"I remember about there as well..... Though I do recall something about fishing? Or something to that effect..."

Kailani: *chuckles* Fishin'? Are you a fisherman too?

Edward shakes his head.
"Nah, just someone helping to run a ship..."

Kailani: *nods* Fishin'... *she says to herself as if trying to remember* I got nuthin'... Hey-uh, hope you didn't mind this morning, me swimmin' and all. I thought erry'un was asleep.

Edward: "Doesn't matter to me.... 'ts not my sea."

Kailani: *nods, smiling slightly but sincerely* That's the beautiful thin' ain't it.... *her eyes seem warm as they gaze at the waters* It don't belong to anyone...

Edward looks to where she stares to.
"I guess so... At least not yet..."

Kailani: *her hair waves as the wind rushes past. The growing morning light finally makes seeing easier* So, d'you sleep well?

Edward: "As well as a hungover pirate could."

Kailani: *laughs smugly* Oh, I understand... *she looks up* So, we're making really good time. Looks like we'll be there by tomorrow night *she smirks, knowingly and gives Ed a "heheheh hydro" look*

Edward smirks in return.
"Of course, the wind must be in our favor."

Kailani: *rolls her eyes, smiling* It's always the wind they praise!

Edward: "Wind is known more for it's speed."

Kailani: *nods and laughs lightly* I was only messin'

Edward: "I know that...."

Kailani: *looks of at the open sea*

Talos: *paces in the hall below*

Elena:*her eyes flutter open*

Logi is still sleeping.

Edward thinks of things to say.

Kailani: *squints in the bright light of the sunrise, her head pounds. She suddenly perks up* Oy! I know what'd fix this! *she calls is a regular speaking voice* Talos!

Talos: *who is below deck, still hears her and comes up* What?

Edward looks to Talos.
"Oh yeah! Tha senses guy! You could fix probably fix tha headache."

Talos: *looks at the two of them and their senses dull. The light becomes less painful and their headaches all but vanish*

Kailani: Thanks! *she winks then turns back to the railing*

Talos: *nods and returns under*

Edward gives a sigh of relief as the pain vanishes.
"Ah, great idea! I feel much better now...."

Kailani: *nods* Opinokins are a thing of beauty! Their abilities have many obscure uses that go overlooked, as with many gifts...

Elena: *looks up and smiles*
