Gifts and Curses

Dustin: excuse me... What's the fare for this ship? *@edward*

Talos: *listens*

Bryn: *stands shyly to the side, she grins widely as she sees the zombies on deck, her eyes alight*

Edward stares at Dustin for the moment, looking around at the others in his party.
"Hm...."
He gives them the average price for a voyage, pretty expensive.

Talos: *cringes* I won't require a bed and we can bring our own food... There must be a way to lower it

Dustin: *looks over at Talos* I can help pay for bryn's fare....

Talos: *gives him a look, then looks back to Edward* We only require two places to sleep and will have our own food. We can pay-*suggests a very reasonable price, where the ship would profit but Talos wouldn't be broke*

Edward frowns a bit.
"Ten more [CURRENCY] and it' say deal."

Talos: *nods* It's a deal *hands his and Bryn's share*

Kailani: *purchases a few small bottles and buys some illegal substances to store in the bottles, along with some strong alcohol, medicine, and leather ties*

Bryn: *seems elated with the status of the crew*

Edward takes the cash and pocket's it, seeing Bryn's look at the undead crew.
"Ya liking the zombies?"

Bryn: I-*she stares in awe* I've just never seen someone like me using their powers so freely! *she mark on her hand seems to have vanished from her memory, as if for the first time, she is free*

Dustin: *pays his own and gets on the ship... He walks over to bryn...*

Bryn: *seems overjoyed with the undead crew, she smiles at Dustin*

Talos: *doesn't seem too thrilled, but is glad that they have a way to Tortuga*

Kailani: *returns with the supplies and waltzes onto the ship*

Elena: *looks to Logi* Are you ready for this?

Dustin: *grins back* I've never seen a necromancer's work... It's pretty awesome...

Bryn: *her smile lessens* I know that we are supposed to be born evil and not use our powers.... But this is amazing! *her grin returns and she flicks her hand over the dirt, causing a few dead beetles to reanimate*

Talos: *stands to the side, looking out over the swamp as the sun sets*

Kailani: *has waltzed onto the ship like she owns the place, well, with confidence at least*

Dustin: this isn't evil... Anything can be evil... Anything can be good... It depends on how it is used... *smiles and reaches out his hand picking up one of the odd undead critters that she animated and he smiles*

Bryn: *blinks* I don't know whether or not your crazy or you've just been lied to.... *her confidence seems to have faded*

Dustin: *looks at the creature* it's a cute little guy... Here... *holds his hand out for hers do he can place her creation in her hand*

Bryn: *tentatively reaches her hand out, the tiny swamp beetle shimmers golden*

Dustin: *gently takes her hand and with the other places the small insect then he gently releases her hand...*

Bryn: *blushes, her hand feels electric where he touched her. The beetles wings spring out, and Bryn smiles*

Dustin: *he blushes slightly as well and his hand tingles... He smiles softly*

Bryn: *looks up at him, her eyes seem to sparkle as she smiles. The beetle starts hovering in the air, fueled by her elation*

Dustin: *he blushes again and his eyes sparkle... He glances down at the insect and speaks softly* how could anything so beautiful be evil? *he looks back up at her and his eyes betray his double meaning...*

Bryn: *her eyes widen as her cheeks fill with a crimson hue, she looks away quickly, embarrassed* I-uh *a few more beetles flit into the air*
