The Hunger Games

Jewel laughs and pulls her into a headlock, rubbing his fist in her hair.

Kai taps his foot, waiting.

Amethyst: *twists giggling... She gets loose and pokes him in the stomach again.... She is flirting and hasn't even realized it... She pokes him more trying to find a ticklish spot*

Jewel notices her trying and he spreads out his arms. "You can try." He smirks charmingly.

Blaze watches the Capitol train pull in. She has a feeling shell be on that train soon.

Cai watches the peacekeepers escort some kids to the square.

River watches the train pull into the station and more tears rush down her face. She frantically searches for her sister in the crowd.

Mink hears the train, as does her lamb. Zero ((the lamb)) shifts on her shoulders, his angst has risen. He baas and squirms violently. Mink switches him from her shoulders to her arms, and cries softly into his fur. "Shhhh, little lamb all will be well..."

Kellen keeps eyes trained on the train as it rolls in. His fists clench.

Amethyst: *pokes him and then proceeds to run her fingers delicately across his torso hoping for him to flinch or react*

It gives Jewel chills and he looks down at her finger. He smirks and looks back up to her.

((Can we get on with the reaping?))

Of course June had been in the reaping many times before, but this last year she had to enter her name an extra time to get food for her family. Even though it was only one extra time she just knew it would be the one to send her into the games....standing in crowd of others her age she made sure to take a good look around for she knew this might be her last day in district 5.

A man walks up to a podium in district 1 and clears his throat.
"Hello! And welcome to the XXth/nd/rd Hunger Games!"
He keeps talking for a bit, saying the usual things before he starts to pulls names out.
"Ladies first!"
He digs his hand into the bowl an pulls out the name.
"AMETHYST [REDACTED]!"
After she moves up, he moves on to the boys.
"JEWEL [DELETED]!"

Kai stares at the train, a chill going down his spine.

((By the way, the reason he's scared of spiders is that spiders don't live in the ocean.))

Amethyst: *smiles as he joins her* you made it... *she beams at the crowd*

Cai waits anxiously. His brother stays close to him.

Adakite waits for the names to be called.

Kai sighs! bored.

((Waiting for district 2 names to be called. Oh Liam!))

Eden: *has the expression of sorrow, he knows he is a dead man, walking. At least his family will eat this year*

Barric: *takes a deep breath, his name is in many times this year*

Hazel: *her eyes are to the ground as she walks to the reaping*

The same speech is done in district two, with a female pulling out the names Adikite and Cai.

Adakite freezes. The others look at her with pity. She walks up to the platform.

Cai feels his brother grab his arm. "Don't go, you can't. Mother won be able to handle it." Cai doesn't look at his brother. "You have to take care of her now." He walks up to the platform and stands beside Adakite. He had seen her before but didn't really know her. They glance at each other.
