Gifts and Curses

Aden and Aña re sitting at the bar, eating and Aden has a drink.

Aña: *a guy walks over and sits on the other side of her... Aña leans over looking a bit pained... The guy glances over and sees her expression*

Guy: Urr ye a'richt, lassy?

Aden: *looks over at them, his drink in hand*

Aña: *nods and doesn't look up*

Guy: Urr ye sure mam? ye dinnae keek weel.

Aña: *blinks and glances at him with a confused look*

Guy: Pardon me, mah accent kin mak' me a bawherr solid tae ken.

Aña: uhm.... What?

Guy: Ne'er mynd lassy. Ah juist meant, urr ye sure yer a'richt mam?

Aden raises his eyebrows then turns back, taking a drink.

Lief wakes up and goes to school.

Logi does the same.

Ieyla wakes up and rolls out of bed. Her hair is a mess and she's running late. She quickly throws some clothes on and brushes through her hair, grabbing her things and rushing downstairs. Her parents are eating breakfast and seem perfectly happy. She slinks into the kitchen. "Is...everything alright?" Her mother nods, tears in her eyes, a smile on her face. "The divorce is off." Ieyla furrows her eyebrows. "Wh-oh nevermind you can tell me later." She grabs a poptart and rushes out, running to school.

Kate walks to school.

Ana Lucia wakes up. Her throat feels sore and her head aches. She sneezes, (Great, now I'm sick) then gets up to take a shower.

Dustin: *goes to Mark's Academy... He enters and goes to the front desk* excuse me... May I speak with the person in charge? And the principal too please.

Aña: uhm... Yes... Thank you... *looks down*

Guy: Then kin ah buy ye a dram?

The lady at the front desk looks at him skeptically over the rim of her glasses. She points to a door to the left. "In there."

Ieyla rushes into class and slides into her seat right as the bell rings. She sneaks her poptart out of her bag and starts to nibble on it.

((Yah... His mark is covered so they wouldn't know he is elite and may not respect him because of it... At least not until he reveals his rank))

Dustin: *walks into the room she pointed to* pardon me.

Aña: can you what?

Guy: *points to the drinks*

Aña: oh! Uhm... I'm fine...

Guy: A'd lik' tae if ye'll let me.

Aña: *is blushing a bit* oh... Uhm... Well... Thank you...

Guy: Guid. Whit wid ye lik'?

Aña: uhm... Rum?

Guy: Guid choice. Barkeeper! yin rum fur th' lassie.

The principle looks up. "Can I help you?"

Kate sits through her first class.

Aden looks up from his drink, then looks back down, not really interested.

Ieyla doodles in a notebook, occasionally taking the random note.

The barman: *sets down a rum then waits for his pay*

Guy: *hands him some cash*

Aña: thank you...

Guy: It's th' least ah kin dae wifie. 'n' whit aboot a bite tae sloch?

Aña: oh... I'm... I'm fine...

Guy: Ye keek a bawherr pale 'n' malinky. Urr ye sure ye aren't hungert?

Aña: *turns red at his comment and hesitates feeling embarrassed and self conscious*

Dustin: yes sir. I am hoping to get some information concerning your rules and such.

((What rank is the principle? I would think fairly high...))

"Are you planning on enrolling your child here?" The principle shuffles through some papers.

Dustin: *blinks...* I don't have children. *he blinks again... He can't figure out how he could mistake him for a parent... He is only 18 after all*

Aden turns, obviously starting to become drunk. "Leave 'ea 'lone."

((Uhm... Is logi or leif the one that is friends with Alex's character? ))

Guy: Pardon me sur bit urr ye speaking tae me? If sae cuid ye gonnae say that again? Ah didnae hear ye.

Aden turns so the man can see him because they know who he is even on this isle. "Now, I was saying, leave.....my sister.....alone."
