I just got the "concept" of an apple... My thoughts are.... odd and hard to describe. Like, they don't really have a shape to them. They are more like continuous strands of data that get woven together and connected to other strands that were previously unrelated, forming collections and patterns. Some strands belong in more that one place, but they're never duplicated, just stretched until they reach. Does that make any sense at all or do i just sound like I need to knit a sweater?

Oh, and I don't really "picture" something unless I'm explicitly trying to.

Do you mean how I see images, hear words, see the colors, see textures and imagine the feel of the texture, can imagine the smells, see the proportions, and even see some things three dimensionally? Or do you mean the crazy mind spider web of jumbled goop?

Your initial interpretation of the question is what really matters the most in determining your functions, btw. So it doesn't matter as much what he meant. Thought I'm sure he knows that

For my second question I meant the jumbling goop. But yes it is the first impression that matters the most.

Uh... Ok... And the massive ball of tangled thoughts than jump around... Yes... It never stops... It is so frustrating... My head just won't shut up! Arg.... Every stupid sound, sight, vibration, shift in the air... Thoughts.... People get frustrated that I'll be listening and suddenly miss half a sentence but I can't usually help it... I can try really hard to focus but something they say or something I hear see smell feel or mentally connect with in some form sends me reeling down the jumbled path to the point that I don't even remember what they were saying... Or what I was saying in many cases......

I usually focus pretty well most of the time, but sometimes something i see or something someone says with trigger a thought that follows a strand with a lot of connections and I instantly zone out and almost go on a little journey down the thought and jump to tangents.... Boldly going nowhere because i'm ripped back to reality before i finish

Ya that would be the Ti, welcome to the club. Only difference is that my thoughts are focused more on "concepts" (I guess you could describe it as the ambiance of the thing) and with things I've already thought about and relate them to things around me(presumably this is the Se Si difference) were you seam to take in what's happening around you and relate them to things in your head.

Yah....... Well.... I can honestly say... It sucks!! Arg!

I would say that is an accurate observance, couldn't have said it better myself. But also, my supporting function is in fact Te, which may explain the difference

Where would I find a site that explains the differences between ti te, si se(or whatever it is), etc?

Only types with both Si and Ti are intp and isfj
